The V2 is our second oldest Supercharger Kit meant for a daily street car that may also see heavy track use, designed for the 6-cylinder BMW M50, M52, M54, S50, S52 & S54 Engines. The kit itself can support the Wankel AG / Ogura Clutch TX15 based Toyota SC14 Supercharger. With the V.X.R. Upgrade bracket, the V2 Legacy kit supports Rotrex C30 and C38 Centrifugal Superchargers.
This supercharger system supports a wide range of classic and Neo-modern BMW models such as the BMW E34, E36, E38, E39, E46, E83 X3, E85, E53 X5, E60, E61, E65, E66, Z3, Z4 models as well as Wiesmann MF 30 (2000- 2002) and Land Rover Defender (1997-2000).
V2 LEGACY SUPERCHARGER KIT
Developed by Hyde himself in 2015 and released in 2016, the V2 series followed the predecessor V1 Prototype. This supercharger kit went to showcase its reliability in the 2017 American Endurance Races where it won 3rd place out of 80 other cars that were also participating in the 24 hour endurance race. The V2 kit uses the Wankel AG / Ogura Clutch TX15 based Toyota SC14 Supercharger and is a simple heavy duty Supercharger Kit for the BMW M50, M52, M54, S50, S52, S54 engines.
In 2025 to celebrate 10 years of the V2 Series, Support for the Rotrex C30 and C38 was added to this kit allowing new and existing customers to upgrade their supercharger to the more modern Rotrex lineup of Superchargers using the V.X.R. Upgrade Bracket, also sold separately on our shop.
The V2 Supercharger Kit is ideal for a daily street car as well as heavy duty track use. Currently available in its 5th generation, and utilizes the factory belt drive, which allows you to preserve all the original stock belt driven engine accessories as the alternator, power steering, air conditioner, all in their original position.

MANUFACTURERS NOTES & DISCLAIMER
- For the Z4 chassis you are recommended to order the Hyde Motor Works V2.2Z Supercharger Kit.
- On the E46 and E38 and E39 you will be required to relocate your radiator reservoir or use a E36 or aftermarket radiator for space issues.
- There are 2 different types of SC14 Superchargers, the SC14 Type 1 and SC14 Type 2. Variations include the position of the port position of the bearing housing pressure port, oil fill plug, front cross face. Ensure to read through the notes to know which one you have. As for Type 2, you must use the adapter bracket that is also included with the kit.
- The Supercharger is not included in the kit unless ordered separately from us, you are advised to use the given part number for the supercharger and order the supercharger locally.
- Different TX15/TX12/SC12 superchargers may be retro fitted with the V2 Legacy kits, however those are not officially supported by Hyde Motor Works.
- The stock SC14 Supercharger pulley will limit the boost to 4PSI with an air to air intercooler, For 8-10+ PSI you will have to rebuild the SC14 Supercharger with new bearings and use any available Hyde Motor Works overdrive pulley made for the M90 Supercharger. The stock engine should not be pushed beyond 10PSI.*

ADDITIONAL:
To complete the installation on any of the setups, you will also require the following additional parts:

- Toyota SC14 Supercharger or Rotrex C30 or C38 Supercharger with recommended accessories (check the technical specifications for part numbers)
- an Intercooler Kit with silicone pipes and hose clamps (can be sold separately)
- vacuum hose
- an high flow air filter
- a boost gauge
- a recirculating by pass valve and
- proper tune.
