The O.T. M10 is a versatile Supercharger Kit designed for the classic 4-cylinder BMW M10 engine.

The kit itself comes in 2 different versions, the first version supporting the Eaton M45 for recorded 100% power increase over the stock engine, while the Rotrex C38 variant is coming soon as the Flagship supercharger kit for the M10 engine, which is capable of pushing these engines far beyond the power output of many larger modern day BMW engines.

Perfect for a daily street car or the weekend old timer that can also perform frequently at the race track, this supercharger system supports a wide range of old timer classic BMW models such as the BMW 1500, 1502, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2002, E12, E21, E28, E30 models.

A minimum deposit of 50% is required for us to accept your pre order, the remainder can be paid when we are ready to ship. The estimated time frame of delivery is Late August – Mid September 2024. O.T. M10 SUPERCHARGER KIT

The O.T. M10 stands for Old Timer M10, designed by Travis Emmett in Australia between 2020 – 2022 for the legendary 4 cylinder BMW M10 engine and its many variants.

This Supercharger Kit has 2 versions, both with full air to air intercooling support. The first being the O.T. M10 Roots which is an option based on the Eaton M45 Supercharger, capable of doubling the stock engines horse power output. While the second version is the high boost option, called the O.T. M10R38 and is based on the highly efficient Rotrex C38 centrifugal supercharger which is also used in many of our supercharger kit’s.

The O.T. M10 Roots is a heavy duty supercharger kit which is ideal for a daily street car as well as frequent track use. Currently available in its 2nd generation, the O.T. M10 Roots setup comes with its own custom crank pulley, tensioner an independent belt drive which allows you to upgrade your factory generator to a more modern alternator while preserving the function of the stock belt driven engine accessories. The Air conditioner is not supported by the kit, and would be available as a retro fit kit option.

NOTES:

  • On older M10 Engine carburetor variants, we recommend switching to an Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection system from the newer M10 Engines or an compatible E.F.I. setup and also consider having an standalone ECU.
  • an Intercooler Kit is recommended, specially for high boost.
  • Currently the kit supports only the Eaton M45 Supercharger or the Rotrex C38 (Depending on the version chosen).
  • The use of a modern alternator from the E36/E38/E39/Z3/Z4/E46 is mandatory. Details of which can be found on the installation guide.
  • The Air conditioner delete is mandatory, a retro fit A/C kit option will be available in the future.
  • The M45 Supercharger is not included in the kit unless ordered separately from us, you are advised to use the given part number for the supercharger and order the supercharger locally.
  • The Rotrex C38 Supercharger is not included in the kit unless ordered, if buying the Supercharger as a bundled option with our kit, you can let us know the pulley size you wish to have.  If you are an existing client, you can email us to order the supercharger separately. Otherwise, you are advised to use the given part number for the supercharger and order the supercharger locally.
  • To use the full potential of the larger Rotrex Superchargers, the engine must be built to hold high boost.
  • Rotrex Supercharger comes with its separate 1 Year Warranty covered by Rotrex**
  • Different Eaton and Rotrex superchargers may be retro fitted with the O.T. M10 Supercharger kits, however those are not officially supported by Hyde Motor Works.
  • On the O.T. M10 Roots Kit, the stock M45 Supercharger pulley will limit the boost to 5-8PSI with an air to air intercooler, For higher boost, you will have to rebuild the M45 Supercharger with new bearings and use any available Hyde Motor Works overdrive pulley overdrive pulley made for the Eaton M45 Supercharger. The stock engine should not be pushed beyond 10PSI.*

 

To complete the installation on any of the setups, you will also require the following additional parts:

  • Eaton M45 or Rotrex C38 Supercharger with recommended accessories (check the technical specifications for part numbers)
  • an Intercooler Kit with silicone pipes and hose clamps (can be sold separately)
  • vacuum hose
  • an high flow air filter
  • a boost gauge
  • a recirculating by pass valve and
  • proper tune.
