Phil Ehlinger’s team Tequila Petról with their Custom BMW 332Ti Race car, equipped with the Hyde Motor Works V2.1 SC14 Supercharger Setup has come 3rd in the hyper competitive class four this April, at Watkins Glenn International – 2017 American Endurance Racing.

Phil, on behalf of his Doylestown, Pennsylvania based endurance car racing team, had originally approached me back in late 2016. I was very eager to assist him in the build and helping him pave way to take his team to greater heights.

109 Years Of Supercharging in Pennsylvania
– History in the Making

I am told the Tequila Petról 332Ti with the HMW V2.1 SC14 setup would go down as the very first time a Supercharged Car has entered the American Endurance Racing!

A fun fact of Superchargers & Pennsylvania is back in the 1900’s, an early supercharged race car was built by pioneer, Lee Chadwick of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The Chadwick Race Car reportedly reached a speed of 100 miles per hour. In 1908 Chadwick entered it in a Hillclimb at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The Chadwick Racecar won, making it the first supercharged car to compete and win a race competition.

Today, not only the HMW V2.1 Setup based on the SC14 Blower has proved itself surviving the excruciating 24 hours, but has been part of History in the Making.

M52Supercharged Blog Has Moved to HydeMotorWorks

The BMW M52Supercharged Project has now moved to Hyde Motor Works! The project’s success & evolution over the years not to mention demand through a client base of BMW enthusiasts around the world has led me towards envisioning a few greater public supercharger projects involving even larger and widely available superchargers. Formerly m52supercahrged.wordpress.com was a little blog I created back in late 2015, to showcase my BMW SC14 Supercharger project; since then a minor goal for a long time was always rebuilding the blog from scratch into a larger, properly organized layout.

I wanted something that appealed to me, did not alienate my old client base, improved upon where the last blog left, invited the younger neo client base while still making it easy for the older noir generation; something that could house new content and projects and display them in a more refined and elegant enough manner, and with a dash of neo-noir to the mix. And thus, Incorporating the original project entirely into Hyde Motor Works was the long awaited project this year conceived as – HMWProject17.

I hope this new atmosphere is an inviting one and that it serves as a better foundation overall for me to reach out and be of service to a greater number of BMW Enthusiasts Around the World!!

Thank you for all your support 🙂
