The V4 M.O.A.B. is our first Supercharger Kit series designed for for the 4-cylinder BMW M42, M43 and M44 Engines.

The kit itself comes in 2 different versions, the first version is called M.O.A.B. 500 and supports the Wankel AG / ASIN AMR500 Supercharger, and the second version is called the M.O.A.B. 1500 and is based on the Wankel AG / Ogura Clutch TX15 based Toyota SC14 Supercharger, which is capable of pushing these engines far beyond the typical 6 cylinder BMW engine variants from the same era.

Meant for a daily street car that may also see frequent track use, this supercharger system supports a wide range of classic BMW models such as the E30, E36, E46, Ti, Z3 models.

V4 M.O.A.B. SUPERCHARGER KIT

The V4 M.O.A.B. is our first Supercharger Kit for the 4 cylinder BMW’s. Developed by Hyde in 2019 for his 318Ti project, the V4 Supercharger Kit is a simple heavy duty Supercharger Kit designed for the 4 cylinder BMW M44 as well as  the M43 & M42 engines.

This Supercharger Kit has 2 versions, both with full air to air intercooling support. The first being the M.O.A.B. 500, which is a compact low boost option based on the Wankel AG / ASIN AMR500 Supercharger, for those wanting a small bump in power. The second is the high boost option, called the M.O.A.B. 1500 and is based on the Wankel AG / Ogura Clutch TX15 based Toyota SC14 Supercharger which is also used in our V2 Supercharger Kit.

The V4 M.O.A.B. Supercharger Kit’s is ideal for a daily street car as well as frequent track use. Currently available in its 6th generation, and utilizes the factory belt drive, which allows you to preserve all the original stock belt driven engine accessories as the alternator, power steering, air conditioner, all in their original position.

Anmerkungen

  • On the E46 you may be required to relocate your radiator reservoir or use a E36 or aftermarket radiator for space issues with the V4 M.O.A.B. 1500 Kit.
  • an Intercooler Kit is recommended, specially for high boost
  • a second power steering pulley will be required for M.O.A.B 1500 Kits with the SC14 Superchargers,
  • There are 2 different types of SC14 Superchargers, The SC14 Type 1 and SC14 Type 2. Variations include the position of the port position of the bearing housing pressure port, oil fill plug, front cross face. Ensure to read through the notes to know which one you have. For Type 2, you must use the adapter bracket that is also included with the kit.
  • There are 2 different types of AMR500 Superchargers, The AMR500 Type 1 and AMR500 Type 2. Variations include the size of the supercharger body & mounting points. Ensure to read through the notes to know which one you have. For Type 2, you must use the adapter bracket that is also included with the kit.
  • The V4 M.O.A.B. 500 Kit will require 2″ to 2.5″adapters for the AMR 500 supercharger inlet and outlet while the remainder pipework can be 2.5″. Please consult the installation guide for more information.
  • Der Kompressor ist nicht im Kit enthalten, es sei denn, Sie bestellen ihn separat bei uns. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, die angegebene Teilenummer für den Kompressor zu verwenden und den Kompressor vor Ort zu bestellen.

  • On the V4 M.O.A.B. 1500 Kit, the stock SC14 Supercharger pulley will limit the boost to 5-8PSI with an air to air intercooler, For 10-14+ PSI you will have to rebuild the SC14 Supercharger with new bearings and use any available Hyde Motor Works Overdrive Riemenscheibe, verwenden overdrive pulley made for the SC14 Supercharger. The stock engine should not be pushed beyond 10PSI.*

For all E30 E34, E36, E46 – 318Ti, Z4, Z3 with the 4 cylinder BMW M4X motors as M44B19, M42B18, M43B16, M43B18, M43B19, M40 (Unofficial Retrofit with M42/M43/M44 Alternators).

Hinweis

For compatibility, Older BMW M42 or M43 Engines with V Belt drive must be converted to use the newer Micro V Serpentine Belt with a more modern alternator.

Type 1 SC14 has a Dipstick with a Yellow Ring and front Cross Face pulley, while the Type 1 AMR500 has typically grey body with a bronze front bearing housing cover and smooth rear casing. Should you have type 2 versions of any of these, you must use the adapter.

Newer M42, engines are suggested to use the M42 or M44 style engine intake manifold for proper fitment*
