HMW V3 Brackets for Eaton M62 & M90 Released

After nearly a year and a half of delays, and many revisions at the HMW K.C. production house, we are finally ready to announce the release of our V3 Eaton M62 and M90 Supercharger Bracket Kit for the BMW M5x and S5x series of engines.

The V3 was originally meant as an budget friendly alternative for the European BMW enthusiast wanting to get into forced induction. The V3 natively supports the small case M62 and M90 superchargers that are commonly found in the Mercedes Kompressor models as the 230, the Jaguar XJ (X308), the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the Ford Thunderbird among others. The small Eaton M45 from the BMW Mini can also be retro fitted although due to its smaller displacement, it’s not officially supported.

As with all HMW kits, The V3 was developed around support for the 6 Cylinder M50, M50TU, M52, M52TU, M54, S50, S52, S54 Motors. The M90 Requires the use of a Custom HMW SS Manifold while the M62 fits under the M50 & M52 Manifold, the M54 users will be required to switch to the earlier M50 & M52 Manifold or the HMW SS Manifold to gain full clearance.

The HMW V3 kit will shortly be available to purchase from the HMW Official Shop as well as directly through us or our distributors.

M122H Rev 1 officially available & M4x SC kit under development

HMW KC M122H Full Kit

As of 1st July, The Rev 1 of the HMW M122H KC kit is available to order. Things have been rather slow at our end to announce this primarily due to Keith’s mother having suffered a major stroke. We decided to put things on halt for a few weeks, all while having to catch up on some pre orders. There are now a few builds on the main bmw forums based on these kits and we are finally able to take orders on these.

 

HMW V4 M.O.A.B – Supercharger Kit for the BMW 4 cylinder

We are now also working on a 4 cylinder supercharger kit that is made for the M42, M43, M44 motors found commonly in the 316i and 318i’s and all their relative models. Code named V4 M.O.A.B- Short for Mother Of All Brackets, its based off the original V2 designs. Throughout the past decade there has been a few SC kits offered for these motors, The most prominent being the DASC kit using the Eaton M62, which is an 1L roots blower. The HMW V4 will be something spacial for the 318Ti & Z3 enthusiasts. Not only are we building our most comprehensive & modular kit yet, but with support for the 1.5L SC14. Making it the largest commercially offered supercharger kit for these cars in history.

Currently in prototype stages this kit supports 4 different superchargers, ranging from the AMR 500, SC14, Eaton M45 & and M62, with intent of having future iterations that support the M90 and M122H. The boost will range from an humble 5PSI for the stock motors wanting to use the smaller AMR500 to an astonishing 12 – 20PSI. The Kit itself will maintain the AC, The Alternator, the Power steering. The SC14 & AMR500 will retain the stock manifold, while the Eaton M45 & M62 will require replacing the top part of an M42/M44 Manifold with the custom HMW mini plenum.

Its a project I have personally overseen after having bought a little 318ti from a local club member, upon release I intend to make them a very well priced option that costing a fraction of anything else out there. In a future post after the CAD & Production team goes through them I will update you all on future progress. We expect to have them ready by the end of August.

HMW KC M122H Brackets Kit 2019

As of this month, Our M122H Setups have Finally come through as the professionally made beautiful pieces they were planned out to be. These setups will fit the GT500 Eaton M122H Supercharger seeing over a bar of boost with an Intercooler, this as well support for larger 2.3L TVS as well as 2.8L Twin screws. Due to multiple delays in production, we eventually decided to have them made at the factory where all other work is carried out, all while Keith in our NJ Headquarters goes through every set individually, per order basis.

We are also now proud to offer our own HMW SS Line of Custom Aluminum Manifolds and at an affordable price range, focused mainly on Boosted Applications for the M5X Family of BMW 6. Cylinder Motors, they work well on NA as well. Furthermore these manifolds are further tailored for the M122H Setups based on Clients choice of having ether M5X or S5X engines.

2018 – A Vintage Year

The word Vintage comes to mind when looking at the Highlights of Last Year, 2018 was a Milestone for us. We finally finished our M122H GT500 Supercharger Project as well as Custom Manifolds for the 6 Cylinder M5X Family of Motors. We are the first to have this size of a Roots blower setup for BMW’s released for public usage, That as well as proudly having our work showcased in The 2018 Stoneleigh UK Kit Car Shows through our cooperation in being part of DMO Sports Cars Family. The Successes of the year had led me to having a brief get together meeting with the Steven of DMO in Amsterdam, Netherlands; discussing potential future prospects of working together.
